Help volunteer at the 35th annual Hawaii Plantation Obon Celebration.

There will be two shifts available.

  • First Shift 2:30pm - 7pm

  • Second Shift 6pm - 10:30pm

    Parking will be available at Waipahu Elementary or Hawaii Tech Academy with free shuttle service to the event.

Malama Maunalua

"Please join us for a volunteer workday in Maunalua Bay! We will help restore the marine environment by removing invasive algae from the nearshore waters, as part of an effort to continue the work of the Great Huki. From 2009-2011, a team of dedicated volunteers and staff removed 3 million pounds of invasive limu from 27 acres. Today, we continue this effort through volunteer workdays with schools and community groups.

When: May 17th, 2025

JASH's Japan Wizards Competition

Our friends at JASH will be hosting their annual Japan Wizards on Saturday, February 22, 2025 and are asking for our assistance with volunteers.

2025 Japan Wizards Competition will be on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 8:00am to 3:00pm at the UH Manoa Campus Center.

They are looking for volunteers to serve in the following roles (basically for every aspect of the competition):

Moderators (English/Japanese capabilities)

Judges (English/Japanese capabilities)

Timers

Scorers

Registration

Activity Center

College Fair

Volunteers will receive a 2025 JWC T-shirt, breakfast, bento lunch, and your name will be acknowledged in the program.

Due to weather conditions from January, the first hike of the year was moved to February.

Location: Hau ula Loop Trail. Meet at the entrance of the trail (Look for Sean holding the JCI Honolulu Flag)
